Of particular importance for building owners and facilities managers is knowing that the essential services installed within your buildings are performing to the codes and standards to which they were installed. All Governments are reviewing and legislating changes which places additional obligations onto building owners to ensure that the essential services are compliant and being maintained correctly. Premier Services Group have implemented maintenance and certification practices which meet or exceed all of these obligations.

From 1st July 2020 NSW legislation now requires the owners of all class 2-9 buildings to provide an Annual Fire Safety Statement which declares that all essential fire safety measures installed within the building have been assessed or inspected by an “Accredited Practitioner (fire safety)” – formally known as a “competent fire safety practitioner”. Premier Services Group staff have obtained the accreditation required under the legislation and can certify all measures nominated in the Fire Safety Schedule for your building.

In addition, as required under the Building & Development Certifiers Regulation 2020, which also came into force on 1 July 2020, it is now necessary for plans and specifications for work on relevant fire safety systems to be endorsed by an Accredited Practitioner (fire safety). This is a different class of accreditation to the accreditation required for an Annual Fire Safety Statement. Designers within the Premier Services Group have the appropriate accreditation and the company is able to provide the necessary plans and specifications on new work within your buildings.
