Gordon Stalley
Managing Director of Premier Services Group
Gordon is one of the most experienced fire services engineers and contractors in Australia. He commenced in 1974 as an engineering cadet with one of the major industry contractors, progressing to NSW Manager at the age of 25. He started Premier Fire in 1987 and continues to run the Premier Services Group as Managing Director.
Gordon’s vision was to establish a major privately-owned fire protection company based on excellence which worked closely with its clients to lead the way in innovation and best practice.
He has worked on the design, installation, servicing and maintenance of hundreds of major projects within Australia including high rise, shopping centres, major institution buildings, complex special hazard installations as well as countless system modifications, upgrades and tenancy work.
Gordon has contributed to the industry for all of his working life through representation on Australian Standards committees and industry associations. He is the NSW President of the National Fire Industry Association, and a director of the Australian Construction Industry Forum. In these capacities he frequently provides presentations to building owners, certifiers, contractors and other industry organisations on technical and legislative issues and is on consultative committees with the Dept. of Planning and Fire Protection Association of Australia.
He is a professional engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Australia, listed on the National Engineering Register and a registered professional engineer in Queensland
Vince Porreca
General Manager – Premier Services Group
Vince commenced working in the fire industry with Premier Fire in 1988 as a fire services designer, and then as a project manager/designer, progressing to manager of the Major Contracts Division in 1999.
With over 30 years in the industry Vince has successfully completed hundreds of major projects along with countless fitouts and fire service upgrades. In 2015 Vince assumed the role of National Contracts Manager overseeing all Major Construction for the Premier Services Group.
Richard Stalley
General Manager – Premier Services Group
Richard began working in the construction industry in 2004 as an apprentice electrician. He commenced as an electrical technician with Premier Fire in 2007.
In 2010, started a branch of Premier Fire in South East Queensland. After overseeing the branch for 6 years Richard returned to Sydney to assume a National role.
Richard is involved with all aspects of Premier Services Group.
Gai Strouthos
Chief Financial Officer – Premier Services Group
Gai joined the Premier Services Group in 2012. Holding a B. Bus with a major in Law and Accounting she is a CPA with over 27 years corporate experience as CFO, Finance Director and Managing Director in national and multi-national corporations. She has lectured in Accounting and Management at TAFE and specialises in systemisation, statutory compliance, grant procurement, reorganisation, change management, HR Management , IT roll outs and operation refinement for all levels of commercial enterprise.
Mick McCarthy
Regional Manager – South Queensland
Mick is the South Queensland Manager here at Premier Services Group & Joined the Team in Brisbane in 2015, Responsible for all Aspects of the Business covering Major Construction, Service, Minor Projects, Passive Protection & HVAC. Mick brings with him a strong background in construction and building services spanning over 30 Years Originally Coming from HVAC Industry & Worked Predominately in Project Delivery in Operating Hospitals for many years.
Mick is Very Focused on Building Long Term, Repeat Relationships with Both Clients & the Team in Premier Services Group & has a Strong Interest in Safety & Training Side of the Business
JAYDEN BROWN
Regional Manager – Victoria
Jayden joined Premier Fire in QLD in 2007, specialising in Major Construction projects. After a hiatus in Central Queensland in the Mining & Gas Industry along with founding 2 successful Fire Protection and Maintenance companies, Jayden re-joined the Premier Services Group team in 2021 to head up the Victorian Branch.
With 15 years of experience and qualifications in QLD, NSW & VIC, Jayden is a welcome addition to the group.
George Grajczonek
North Queensland Contracts Manager
Premier Fire expanded into Queensland in 2010 by purchasing the conveniently named Premier Fire (NQ) Pty Ltd which was based in Townsville. George was one of the owners and directors of this company and continued with the newly constituted Premier Fire following the purchase.
George has worked for decades in the fire protection industry and has all relevant QBCC licenses.
CLIFF FRANKLIN
Regional Service Manager – Townsville
Cliff begun an Electrical apprenticeship in 1977 for a major fire contracting company, later working as a Service technician in Sydney. Cliff was transferred to Rockhampton for 6 years before accepting a position as Technical Director for PNG’s largest fire company. In 1996 Cliff Joined Premier Fire (NQ) Pty Ltd and was a shareholder and Director from 1998 to 2010.
Cliff has all relevant QBCC licenses and manages the service and maintenance division in Townsville.
Simon Porter
Mackay Region Manager
Simon has had twenty-six years experience in the fire industry and commenced with Premier Fire in 2014. He has all appropriate QBCC licenses and has completed industry run courses in special hazards, fire alarms and EWIS along with sprinkler system installation and design. He manages the operations of the Mackay branch.
Howard Lawn
Regional Manager – Airlie Beach
Howard commenced with Premier Fire Protection in 2006 and has 19 years experience in the fire protection industry. He is electrical trade qualified and holds Queensland occupational licences in fire detection systems, sprinkler and suppression systems, hydrants, hose reels, portable equipment, fire pumps and fire doors. He now manages the day to day operations of our Airlie Beach branch.
Brad Vaughan
General Manager – Premier HVAC
Brad has 19 years’ experience in the HVAC industry and is fully qualified in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, He has worked his way up to various management roles including Supervisor, Service Manager, State Operations Manager and National Client Relationship Manager roles and is now tasked with leading Premier HVAC in NSW.
Brad brings a wealth of Industry knowledge to the Premier Services Group and has a great reputation in the HVAC Industry with his ‘Can do’ attitude and prides himself on providing successful outcomes for his Clients.
ANDREW BLACHURA
General Manager – Premier Electrical
Andrew commenced working in the electrical construction industry in 1987 as a cadet electrical engineer and has since held various roles in some of Australia’s largest Electrical contracting business’s progressing through the ranks via roles including estimating, project management and operations management. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and an EMBA.
With 35 years in the industry Andrew has successfully completed and overseen many prestigious projects along the way across many market segments including Commercial, Sporting, Health, Retail and Defence. Andrew manages our Electrical business nationally.
